Expat Coaching
A Safe Anchor in the Unknown
Living abroad is an adventure – inspiring, horizon-expanding, and full of new possibilities.
At the same time, it brings its own challenges: a new environment, different social roles, language barriers, cultural differences, and the feeling of being caught between worlds.
I know what it feels like to stand between languages, cultures, and identities. I lived in Romania for three years and have recently made Japan my home. Both experiences have shaped me personally, challenged me, and helped me grow — and it’s this understanding that I bring to my work as a coach.
Typical topics in Expat Coaching may include:
-
Conscious preparation for an upcoming stay abroad
-
Personalized support when everything feels new
-
Culture shock & adjusting to a new environment
-
Finding your identity abroad (Who am I outside of my familiar role?)
-
Building new routines and structures
-
Social isolation & loneliness
-
Career reorientation abroad
-
Self-care & mental health in the expat life
-
Dealing with homesickness & the pain of saying goodbye
-
Empowerment: Living independently as a partner
-
Family life & parenthood in a new country
-
Preparing for a return home or moving to a new country
Whether you’ve just arrived abroad, are preparing for a move, have been living between cultures for a while, or feel a bit lost inside — in coaching, we’ll create space for what’s on your mind.
I work online, in German and English, with people worldwide. Even across time zones, we’ll find suitable times — because your personal growth knows no geographical boundaries.
